The greatest challenge in business is to be different and recognized for one’s creativity. Professional photographers bear the same, if not greater challenge to be the one in a community that is the “go to “or “have to photographer” for those special events. Well thought of, recognized photographers are often booked months in advance and “impossible” to get on short notice. Unfortunately, many photographers in the business do not have that reputation or following and must work diligently to market themselves and their abilities.

Every young, up and coming professional has a learning curve in marketing and experience to break through and become one of those “impossible” to get photographers. Utilizing the latest technologies in cameras and in production of pictures can assist in this climb to success. A great “eye” for photography can be ruined if the medium the picture is printed on does not do it justice. One of the newest, most innovative processes in the printing industry that a photographer should definitely check out is printing on acrylic or plexiglass.

Direct printing on acrylic or plexiglass is a new process that displays prints in an almost indescribable burst of color and light. Color prints are more vibrant and deep while black and white prints have more contrast and vividness. Prints on acrylic pop when placed next to the same picture printed on standard photo paper. Pictures almost appear to be electrically back lighted because the thickness of acrylic refracts such a high level of ambient light from its surroundings. Pictures explode with light!

How can a photographer help themselves be recognized? Show your work in the best light possible by having your work reproduced in the newest, most innovative method. Print you images on acrylic for a new, trend setting medium to set yourself apart.

As a slightly above average amateur photographer I marvel at the great work most professional photographers produce. To have “that perfect eye” or to “catch that perfect shot” does not happen by accident. A few pro photographers, like athletes, are just gifted and anything they take a picture of almost becomes a piece of art. But for every piece of art there is a shot that produces memories that the owner of the picture will always cherish.

Most pro photographers however are not so much in the profession for the sake of “art” but are working to put food on the table for their families and pay their studio rent. These are the folks that spend their weekends shooting endless numbers of wedding shots while trying to get all those amateurs out of their line of sight while just trying to do their job. These are the folks that spend hours in the hot sun on Saturday afternoon at a kid’s baseball game or soccer match taking countless action shots hoping that the kids’ parents will buy that great shot. Some do purchase but just as many do not. Thank goodness for today’s digital world this allows a photographer to market by digital image rather than going to the expense of producing actual prints which are later just thrown away.

Like every business a pro photographer must stay in touch with the latest innovations and try to differentiate themselves in the marketplace. One new innovation in the print industry is the ability to digitally make acrylic prints or plexiglass prints. This new process produces the most dynamic picture that when compared to a standard photo paper print makes the photo print look dull. PlexiPics which are produced by www.PlexiPics.com can make a photographer stand out in a room full of his or her peers by taking his photograph skills to a new level of presentation.

Regular Picture on top and Plexipics Acrylic Print on bottom

Whether it is a picture printed on metallic photo paper or canvas, PlexiPics make the same photo image look absolutely fantastic. As the picture above shows the colors are brighter and the contrast is richer. The acrylic print PlexiPics is a product that has to be seen to truly believe. Whether a professional photographer or an amateur you really need to check out the acrylic prints at www.PlexiPics.com. It is a product that will make your digital images look like a million bucks!

Wall decor is essential in establishing the style of a home. Original paintings, prints and photographs can lend stunning beauty to an otherwise inconsequential or unnoticed space. Unfortunately, original art usually comes with an exorbitant price tag. Fortunately, there are attractive and affordable alternatives.

An innovative print technology, PlexiPics, now allows for the creation of spectacular images on an acrylic or plexiglass substrate. Any digital image can be recreated. Stunning panoramas, digital photos and reproductions of Old Masters are all brought to life with this stunning new process.

These digital images, or PlexiPics, are wonderfully alive with color. They become infused with the natural, ambient light of a room and seem to be lit from within. Sharpness and clarity are also superb. In short, radiant color and an incredible depth of field produce an acrylic print of uncommon beauty.

PlexiPics are ideal for display in a variety of venues. Printed on durable acrylic sheets, they will last for decades and are suitable for indoor or outdoor use. They can withstand equally the vicissitudes of a public lobby or the obliviousness of a chocolate covered child. The images, themselves, are fade resistant and are available in sizes up to 48”x 96”.

The unique presentation of these acrylic prints makes a high impact statement in any commercial or residential setting. Public galleries can also benefit from this technology. The magnificent resolution of this product makes it ideal for displaying archival images that would, otherwise, not be available to the public.

A PlexiPics is sure to be the focal point of any room or lobby. They simply transform spaces and walls. There is no doubt that every employee, visitor and guest will marvel at the dramatic qualities of these eye-catching prints.

The biggest challenge that we face is marketing PlexiPics because the process is so new that few people have ever seen a print on acrylic or a print on plexiglass. This new printing direct to acrylic or plexiglass process was developed in just the last couple of years and requires a printer costing in the range of a quarter of a million dollars. Obviously this is a huge investment which limits the number of vendors and print companies that have this capability. Along with the initial machinery costs comes the challenge to market the product due to its’ newness. People are familiar with canvas and photo paper but are often reluctant to try a new, innovative print product without seeing it first hand.

Therein lies our biggest challenge – how to best market a visual product when a picture does not do it justice. A couple of good analogies would be looking at a picture of the Grand Canyon and then seeing it in person. The picture pales by comparison to seeing the real thing. Another visual comparison could be seeing a 3d movie for the first time. Nothing could have prepared you. A PlexiPics is much the same. A picture of a PlexiPics loses so much when reproduced in the normal printing process or online pictures. Putting a PlexiPics beside a regular photo paper processed picture using same picture is the best method of seeing how PlexiPics explode with color and clarity.

The picture below shows the dynamic differences in clarity and color using the same picture file but processing the file in two ways. The top picture is a standard photo process on HP photo paper. The lower picture is an acrylic print PlexiPics which clearly shows the vibrancy and color pop resulting from printing direct to acrylic.

Regular Picture on top and Plexipics Acrylic Print on bottom

Whether a memorable travel shot, a sports picture your MVP, a picture of your favorite pet or even a bridal portrait, PlexiPics will absolutely amaze you. And with the companies 100% satisfaction guarantee you can be assured that the folks at PlexiPics.com will work diligently to make you happy. An acrylic photo or a plexiglass photo by www.PlexiPics.com will become your favorite way to display all of your wonderful digital images in their best light.

True acrylic photos are printed directly onto acrylic, producing clarity and colors that are extraordinary. In the past, most printing companies advertised photographs on acrylic, merely used a process that sandwiched a glossy print between a sintra or dibond panel, laying the print on top of the panel then covering with acrylic. This is not a true direct to acrylic print process.
When an image is directly printed onto acrylic or plexiglass, it takes on a translucent appearance that can be strengthened by strategic lighting. Depending on where acrylic photos are hung, natural light will interact with the acrylic or plexiglass producing depth and a rich texture.

Acrylic photos are created by printing files containing digital images, placing them directly onto the plexiglass or acrylic sheets using high tech printers. A real statement in style, the high resolution, permanent and durable digital acrylic prints make for stunning results and are far more sophisticated than simply printing on transparent vinyl, which is then stuck onto acrylic.

The printing process of acrylic or plexiglass is similar to canvas printing. The ink is printed directly onto the media; however, rather than printing directly onto a flexible canvas roll, images are printed on pieces of rigid acrylic or plexiglass. To help protect any ink damage and leave a glossy finish to the front of the acrylic photos, images are printed on the back of the media. If the image contains pure white elements, they appear transparent, with lighter colors printed using a thin coating of ink. Mounted on a wall, the color of the wall will take the place of the white in the image, leaving an intended result of image depth. Brightly colored digital images are extremely dynamic when printed as acrylic or plexiglass prints. Portraits and family group photos containing a good deal of white work very well too

Most printers working with acrylic will offer various custom sizes, mostly using a 1/8th inch, 1/4th inch and ½ inch acrylic. In addition, a PVC foam board or a piece of black acrylic is sometimes placed behind the acrylic to prevent any back lighting as well as to protect the photo from scratching. Please keep in mind that acrylic photos printed directly to acrylic is quite different than sandwiching a photo between acrylic. With direct transfer, acrylic photos are printed on acrylic using a flat bed or similar digital printer
Various mounting options are also available and can include a one inch wood square panel, a two inch wood square panel or a float. The float mount is created by applying a one inch wood frame in the middle of the back of the acrylic or sintra. This causes the acrylic to protrude off the frame. When the print is hung, it appears to be floating because the frame is hidden. Another patent pending hanging method is the Image Floater which was developed by PlexiPics.com which incorporates an acrylic hanger and acrylic standoffs to give an awesome, invisible floating hanger. The print on acrylic is called a PlexiPics and is available at www,PlexiPic.com.

Acrylic PlexiPics Wedding Picture

This process captures contrasts and colors like no other process can and is fast becoming the method of choice among many artists and photographers both professional and amateur. Anyone who enjoys dabbling with digital images is finding that printing directly to acrylic offers a truly unique result that produces a clear, shiny image with three dimensional effects. Most will agree that no other medium can compare to the freshness and pop that acrylic photos add to any room they are placed in.

As an interior designer, you are always on the lookout for great new ways to create spectacular, yet budget-friendly, wall decor for your clients. The newest trick in the interior designer arsenal is the Illuminants™ process that lets you add depth and dimension to a room by turning regular photographs into fantastic prints that actually seem to glow from within!
This surprisingly affordable custom process involves enlarging a digital photo, reverse printing it to an acrylic or plexiglass sheet and installing a floating hanger, image floater, to create a shadow effect. The result is a stunning piece of art that radiates color and light and is durable enough for outdoor display.
Compared to the Diasec process where photographs are glued to acrylics or Plexiglas, the Illuminants™ process allows the photo to be directly printed onto the back of the acrylic sheet and then cured with UV light that causes the ink to dry quickly and bond to the surface. This gives the finished piece a “backlit” quality that allows the colors in the photograph to practically radiate a natural light like a real life scene.

Excellent for commercial clients and homeowners, as a clever interior designer you can see how using the Illuminants™ process can add just the right professional touch to a project. From dramatic color photos to simple black and whites, you can create vibrant wall art from even the simplest digital photographs and can make dramatic scenes like fireworks displays and sunsets seem to come to life.
The Illuminants™ process resists fading and water resistant so it lasts for decades even under challenging conditions. They require no frames or protective coverings and are lightweight and easy to mount onto simple wall hangers. You can even experiment with different types of lighting to create dramatic effects so that Illuminants™ pictures seem to come to life or change colors under different lighting conditions.
Ranging in finished sizes from 16 X 20 to 48 x 96, Illuminants™ give you the freedom to use your interior designer instincts to customize a final product that will make the most of the wall space available. From extended panoramas for using multiple panels for large spaces to small portraits that add an intimate touch, the Illuminants™ method gives a creative interior decorator the flexibility to choose from an endless range of subjects so you can set just the right mood for your clients.

Till Death Do Us Part. Those were the words, on that special day, that described the rest of my life with the man I chose to be my husband. And although most of the memories of my wedding day may fade away, I want my portrait, and the albums I give to the very important people that stood with me, to stay vibrant and last forever.

I look at the photographs of my parents and my grandparents. They are yellowed and faded, even though they are behind a piece of glass. And though some of those photos are in black and white, they are dull and lifeless. How do I prevent that from happening to the memory of the greatest day in my life?

Acrylic PlexiPic Wedding Picture

I called the best photographers for my wedding, and the best they could come up with was still not the best for me. I wanted my memory to be encased in glass, forever vibrant for my children and grandchildren that will be viewing it. I want it to stand out on the wall or wherever I choose to display it.

And then, I saw it! It was magic and I wanted it! I wanted this magic that lit up my best friend’s wall. It was the portrait of her wedding actually printed behind what looked like glass, but was acrylic. In fact, it almost looked three dimensional. This was something I had never seen before. It was an Acrylic PlexiPic” from PlexiPics.com. It was the ‘new canvas’ for portraits and other favorite photographs.

It’s what I was looking for. I wanted my wedding portrait to look as though it was suspended in space as my memories would be suspended in time.

By contacting a professional who can produce just what I wanted, I received an exciting and contemporary look in contrast to a traditional setting that was previously offered to me.

I was told that my acrylic portrait would be timeless, including:

Indoor or outdoor display

It would be water and fade resistant for decades to come

There were multiple mounting options that I could choose from

Even the black and white images I chose for some photos had amazing depth and contrast.

So, because of the diverse light infiltration and alteration of acrylic, in comparison to normal glass, the colors appear more intense and the image of our wedding portrait is sharper than on paper.

My big day will now last forever.

Dear Newlyweds,
How delightful to get your thank you note telling me how much you loved the PlexiPics print I had made of the wedding photo I took of you both inside the church. I, too, was amazed by the final result — who would have thought my simple digital photograph could be transformed into such a stunning piece of art!

In response to your comment about how you’d like to apply the print on acrylic method to some other wedding photographs, don’t worry; it’s not as difficult or expensive as you might think! I admit, when first saw PlexiPics I never dreamed I could afford to use that process on my photographs, so imagine my surprise when I found out how little it costs!

Luckily, my wedding photographer friend had an PlexiPics print on acrylic in her office. When I commented on how expensive it looked, she said the process was actually quite competitive with other photo transfer techniques. She explained how instead of using the Diasec enhancement technique of gluing photos onto acrylics, this process actually transfers digital photographs directly onto the back of clear acrylics and uses a UV light to cure the ink so it bonds firmly to the surface. The result is an art piece so durable it can even be displayed outdoors!

I’m glad you liked the “floating hanger” mounting too, it’s so cool how it leaves space between the photo and the wall, as if it lights up from behind once your PlexiPics are hung. As you noticed, features like the stained glass window acquire a back lit quality that makes the colors really “pop” and brings out the delicate details. Besides, the subtle back shadow on the wall gives even more dimension to the artwork! Just let me know if you have any more questions about the PlexiPics process, I’ve done quite a bit of research and tried the print to acrylic process on many of my favorite pictures with great results. I found that even my black and white photographs take on a whole new depth! My next project is to hang a big 48 x 96 PlexiPic of my new project in my front office.

I wish you both all the happiness in the world and am tickled to have introduced you to the PlexiPics acrylic print while giving you gift that will last for generations.
Warmest Regards-

Over the last few years, photography has gone through a drastic change in terms of the technology which the cameras of today provide. Who would have ever thought that cell phones would have the ability to shoot quality pictures utilizing 8 and 12 megapixel capabilities. Although seemingly behind in technology for some time, the printing industry has finally stepped up to the plate by delivering high definition acrylic prints. Plexipics.com is producing prints on acrylic or plexiglass from your digital picture files which will blow your mind with the boldness of the color and the sharpness of the detail. Your pictures will never look better.

Printing on acrylic or plexiglass is a relatively new process that has taken the display of your photography to a new level. The process is achieved by UV reverse printing of an image to the back of clear acrylic or plexiglass. The ink is dried by heat lamps to adhere it to the acrylic which gives the picture a life time protection against fading and color change. One exciting feature of an Acrylic Illuminant is that it can be used outdoors as it is impervious to weather conditions and will retain its’ color and sharpness.

Acrylic PlexiPics from PlexiPics.com are delivered ready to to hang using their patent pending “Image Floater” hanging system. One simple screw and “wall cleat” which is provided by the manufacturer “floats” or “suspends” your acrylic print on the wall requiring no frame or standoff hangers. This hanging method provides the latest decorating innovation in contemporary wall hangings.

So what are you waiting for? Order now and turn your great digital shot into an unbelivable Acrylic PlexiPics to display your photography skills like never seen before.

Ah, weddings. Weddings are so romantic; I always feel happy at anyone’s wedding. Two people starting a new life together…what could be more awesome? The love that exists simply exudes from the happy couple. There is a quote I especially like, and I think of it often at weddings. “What I need to live has been given to me by the earth. Why I need to live has been given to me by you.”

When I first saw some wedding portraits in the new, innovative Plexipics, I literally caught my breath…they were so lovely. The sparkle in the eyes of the bride and groom and the wonderful smiles of happiness were captured right there in front of me in the Illuminants. The clarity was remarkable. Until you see them for yourself, it’s hard to imagine how fantastic they are.

Weddings are so very special, and the wedding portraits that will be cherished for a lifetime deserve to be special, too. Not so long ago, canvas paintings were the only other option for a different look, and, yes, they are nice. But the look of the Plexipics is beyond nice. Plexipics, prints on plexiglass or acrylic, are the “new” canvas. They are modern, unique and contemporary; you can’t help but want them on your walls after your wedding. There is a three-dimensional look to them that brings the photo to life. They simply pop on the wall, especially when the light hits them.

There is a special process that is used to make the Plexipics. The photos are digitally enlarged, and then giclee printed as a reverse print on an acrylic sheet which then receives an acrylic backing and Image Floater hanging system. The result is nothing short of stunning.

They can be obtained in a large variety of sizes, as large as 48” x 96”, and there are multiple mounting options. Your wedding portraits will be beautiful for decades to come, as they are water and fade resistant.

Also, don’t worry if someone other than the official photographer snapped the best shot of your wedding day! Any digital photo will work and can be produced into a Plexipics at www.Plexipics.com.

How I wish this technology had been available for my wedding portraits!
