What is a PlexiPics?
A PlexiPics is an acrylic or plexiglass display piece on which a photo or image file is printed to create a beautiful wall hanging. This new to the industry printing process produces a high resolution, dynamic image with amazing sharpness and stunning color. An acrylic PlexiPics is like no other printed piece you can display. Other printed images seem dull and almost faded when placed beside a PlexiPics. Unlike others in the industry who mount printed paper to the plexiglass, PlexiPics are reverse-printed directly to a 1/4 inch thick clear acrylic panel. A vinyl backing is applied to protect the inks with a hard PVC board is then applied to provide additional protection. To finish construction the patent pending Image Floater hanging system is attached. The resulting product is a museum quality art display which must be seen first-hand to truly appreciate. Almost no other print process replicates the woulderful explosion of color that PlexiPics display!
What is our biggest challenge as the manufacturer of PlexiPic?
Our biggest challenge is to show PlexiPics online or in a picture setting because the sheer intensity and beauty doesn’t “come off”. This is an exaggeration but a picture of the Grand Canyon pales when you see it in person. Another example might be seeing a 3D movie for the first time. A PlexiPics, when seen for the first time does the same think. It is the most eye popping method of printing that has hit the industry in years and it is now awvailable for consumers in stock images or custom pictures taken on home cameras or cell phones.
What is Acrylic or Plexiglass?
Acrylic, also known as plexiglass, is a type of plastic that is used to make various types of products, such as shower doors, bath enclosures, windows and skylights. So why choose acrylic PlexiPics over regular glass? Acrylic PlexiPics weigh half as much as glassed art pieces and are many times stronger while providing superior clarity over time. There are some misconceptions about acrylic, namely that it yellows, turns brittle and cracks over time. Cheaper plastics may crack or show signs of weakness, but this is not so with acrylic PlexiPics as the acrylic used is of the highest quality manufactured.
Will my PlexiPics colors fade?
If cared for by simply wiping with a soft cloth with soap and water, your acrylic Plexipics will remain looking new for decades. The UV cured inks used to print a Plexipics are guaranteed to resist fading or discoloration due to sun or normal element exposure. These archival inks are used in the sign industry for outdoor signage lasting for years withstanding normal conditions. PlexiPics can be displayed outside in non-wet locations to enhance your outside patio or outdoor room decor.
How do I hang PlexiPics?
PlexiPics come with a patent pending Image Floater attached hanging system which requires one screw, which is supplied, to hang. This Floater system allows the PlexiPics to suspend off the wall andappears to be floating with no visible method of hanging. For exterior hanging we recommend using standoffs on each corner which attaches the PlexiPics to the wall which prevents it from being blown off the wall by the wind.
Can I Order Custom Printed PlexiPics?
Yes! Click on the Custom PlexiPics category on the “Products” page. You will then select the desired size of your custom PlexiPics and then be directed to “Upload” your file. After we receive your order and picture file our graphics department will review the file to determine its’ correctness for size and quality of print. You will receive a phone call or email if there are any questions and you will receive an emailed proof for your approval before we print.
What if I don’t see the custom size that I want?
While we list our most popular sizes, we can print any size up to 60″x120″ if your picture file resolution works. Please click on the “Contact” tab in our menu and request a quote on your desired size.
What Guarantees or Warranties do you provide?
